Top-Rated Beers of 2020
“The Beer in Review” was the focus of The Beer Connoisseur magazine’s recent issue, highlighting breweries, beers, and beer styles that stood out in 2020.
For an in-depth look at some of the 150 featured beers chosen by The Beer Connoisseur‘s team of, well, beer connoisseurs, we encourage you to pick up a copy of the magazine or check it out online. We’ll also list some of those beers below and hope you’ll check out more from these talented breweries!
Monday Night Brewing – The Atlanta-based brewery was The Beer Connoisseur‘s second runner-up for Brewery of the Year for the second year in a row. Monday Night is famed for its Garage Series of aged beers and inviting tap room spaces at the Garage and at its original Midtown location. We eagerly await new releases from the award-winning Mischief Managed series (Blackberry Raspberry!) and Tears of My Enemies (Vanilla, Scotch, AND Apple Brandy) series this month.

Reformation Brewery – Known for its traditional Belgian styles and some out-of-the-box releases such as its Mittens series, Reformation is certainly having fun in the production room. Be on the lookout for a soon-to-be-released new triple IPA and the latest Mittens variant, a cactus lime gose.

Wild Leap Brew Co. – If the list below is anything to go by, one can safely assume that Wild Leap does double IPAs and dessert stouts well. Nearly all of the LaGrange brewery’s special releases in 2020 made this list! Recent additions to the Wild Leap lineup include a new year-round sour called LMN ADE as well as Alpha Abstraction Volume 16 and Three Harvest Spring 2021 double IPAs. We also look forward to an upcoming re-release of Too Pure To Be Pink, a double IPA with a new hop profile for 2021.
