Every two years, a panel of more than 200 experienced beer professionals gather to taste and judge beer from nearly 100 style categories, awarding the best of the best in each category. This is the World Beer Cup.
The World Beer Cup, long considered the Olympics of Beer Competitions, was created in 1996 by the Brewers Association to “celebrate the art and science of brewing.” The Cup not only celebrates traditional and new styles of beer from around the world, but also educates consumers about the ever-evolving beer industry and encourages brewing innovation.
Leon Farmer & Company is pleased to announce that several of our distribution partners were awarded medals for their beer submissions in this year’s competition!
- Gold – Old 41 Stout, oatmeal stout
- Bronze – Danzig Porter, Baltic-style porter
- Silver – Alt Bier, German-style altbier
- Gold – Mango Cart, fruit wheat beer
The complete winner’s list can be found at World Beer Cup Winners List. Congratulations and cheers to each of our brewing partners! We’re proud to offer beers from these award-winning breweries to our customers in Athens and Northeast Georgia.
